M I N N E A P O L I S U S A

Several years ago we introduced a new session to our adventure photography workshops. There was enough of a demand for us to conduct a session with the same ingredients of teaching as in the other sessions, but one where we cover the North Shore of Lake Superior without the use of dog teams, canoes or kayaks. We've worked closely with the famed North House Folk School in Grand Marais, Minnesota located in the harbor of this quaint artist community to create a session based along the North Shore of Lake Superior. Our visual teaching experience is the same as our other sessions. We document the North Shore and Grand Marais area as if we were covering a magazine feature assignment. This means we photograph people, rivers, wildlife, lakes and the North Shore in a method that culminates with each participant presenting their stories in a slide show in the final evening. The opening program will set the tone for our coverage with each participant given general coverage requirements along with a few specific visual approaches like motion, use of flash, night photos, portraits, or landscape they will need to complete. Daily discussions will follow as we travel as a group to several locations based on weather and lighting conditions. For more information please email us at the below address or contact:
